Beef stew with rosemary cheddar dumplings


Home made beef stew, with rosemary cheddar dumplings.

Take a beef roast, potatoes, onions, carrots, tomatoes, garlic, fresh herbs, salt, and pepper. Apply the five golden rules of stew making. Top with a loose biscuit dough made with fresh picked rosemary and shredded sharp cheddar cheese.

Awright, what ARE the five golden rules of stew making?

I can think of two:

Cook it slowly
Add plenty of beer to the liquid

OK three, keep the cat off the stove
