Baked apples on the grill

.

Gala apples, with the tops sliced off. Scoop out the seeds, and fill the core with raisins. Add a few drops of clover honey, a teaspoon of bourbon, and a teaspoon of water to each. Bake on the upper rack of the grill for about 20 minutes at 400 degrees. Serve warm, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream alongside would not hurt.

Sounds good! I'll have to try this for dinner.

See, I put raisins, dried cranberries, butter, cinnamon, brown sugar and cloves in mine.

I may have to add bourbon or rum to mine next time, though!

Cranky... the difference between us: You are an artist, I am a putterer.

Besides, I didn't have those other things you mentioned, and what I did have probably would not have gone over well. Except, perhaps walnuts.... I could have tried that.

Hmm..... Buttered walnuts... and cloves...

Make that black pepper ice cream. (Google it and a good recipe will come up.)
