'Twas a long day, and tiring. We are into the last stretch of school, with the 4th parking period starting in a week. Senioritus is setting in, and that means wandering attention, glazed eyes, and discipline issues cropping up. Some students are excited at the prospect of life... and some are frightened. Emotions run high as they try for their licenses, and a few try several times. Stress is more of a factor than ever for some, as others just fall back to coast out the school year.
Of course, some are looking forward to living on the folks couch till they turn 40 or win the lottery, whichever comes first.
Day class done, and evening class over as well, I arrived home tired and hungry. Just wanting something tasty, interesting, and easy..... and thats what I made.
Artisan garlic bread sliced thin, then spread with chunky tomato sauce doctored with red pepper flakes and crushed garlic. On that, pieces of leftover bacon and spicy sausage from the fridge. Topped with shredded cheddar and mozzarella, and sprinkled with garlic powder and fresh ground black pepper.
That's it... nothing fancy...... just a simple bread pizza. Baked at 450 till browned and crisp on the edges.
A tired man's dinner.
