Snackers.........
I use Pillsbury triple layer turtle bar mix. Perhaps I use a little more butter than the recipe calls for, but only a little. Mix the dry according to directions, but instead of splitting it into two parts I just go ahead and line the pan with all of it, spread and tamped down.
Then, on top, a big handful of walnuts, and a heaping handful of chocolate chips. Over that, drizzle the caramel. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes.
HMMMMmmmmmm.................... This stuff actually instigated snarling in a very nice little old lady.
The chocolate chips can be any type that suits the fancy. This time plain, but I like dark chocolate mixed with white chocolate. The walnuts can be replaced with cashews, or even peanuts if there is no other choice.
As it happens... I am eating one right now, as I have morning coffee :-)
