I give you: Friday Food Porn, the bachelor chow edition.
This weeks contestant is Chorizo sausage, oven roasted with chunks of red potatoes and diced spicy red onion. Seasoned with kosher salt and fresh ground pepper, the roasting sausage fills the house with an intoxicating scent as the onions give up their flavor and magic to the dish. The potatoes roast to tender in the center, while having just a hint of crunchiness to their skins.
Pulled from the oven, the sausage is sliced into bite sized chunks and returned to the hot iron pan, and then a large splash of warming spiced Caribbean sauce is stirred in before the pan is returned to the oven for a few minutes.
Plated as a generous serving, the bachelor chow is finished with grated sharp cheddar cheese and a sprinkle of parsley (even bachelors need to eat their greens).
