So, the one student says to the other student.....

A student was rooting through the tap and die sets, so I asked him what he needed. He tried to explain what he was working on.... in a tortured and barely coherent manner. I knew he needed to rethread a tie rod end, but I wanted him to SAY tie rod end, not 'The doohickey with the whatchmacallit nut and the thingey that goes through the hole, sorta".

As student A is slowly working towards using the right term, Student B walks up and says "Oh, You mean the B-52 space modulator. That's under the right side kick panel next to the ferckle valve" and walks away.

At that point, I found I had to go wash my hands. Quickly. And, I think my tongue is now bleeding a bit. (g)

Don't you just love those guys---student B. I've been in field maintenance and taught in company training schools. There will always be one just slightly faster, wittier who can pull that off without a blink.

In the grand tradition of the left handed hammer, teach on.

That WAS funny! Thank you. I chuckled over that one for more than a few minutes.

Now that right there is funny. Couldn't have been more funny if he would've called it the flux capacitor.
