A day made of win

.
Yesterday a student initiated a conversation with me. He had been thinking about the year, all he had learned, and where he was headed in life. Good kid.

He wanted to tell me.... he learned how to think better while he was with us. He now knew how to look at a problem critically, research the technology involved, and work through a problem logically. We wanted to say thank you for teaching him that.

Massive..... Internal.... Happy Dance. IWINIWINIWINIWINIWIN!

After school, off to a PSU evening course on Educational Theory where I had to give a short presentation. I nailed it 5x5, with a 100% grade.

The night before... I tested out an Emissions Certification class. This one was different, as I varied from the state supplied curriculum material and designed my own big nasty practice test as an instructional aid. This class scored better than any other in the last two years, and at least half of them thanked me for that pre-test I made them suffer through, and the review after it. WIN. I'll probably get in trouble for having too many pass now.

Got a good week going so far......

There is no measure for those kinds of successes and rewards.
Congratulations!

Too bad you don't have a clone. You know, to teach others how to teach so well. Although, some things can't be taught. Some things have to come from the heart.

Hi What happened to Clue By Four? And before that the Bear on a Bicycle? Just wondering!

Everett,
Congratulations on being only the second person to notice the changes. That might say something about the number of readers I have, and how close they pay attention here (g).

Seriously.... I do have very few readers, so I don't mind playing with the blogs name/look whenever I wish to. 'Bear' was what popped into my head when I started the blog, but I was never all that happy with it. 'Clue by Four' was a try at something better... and 'Blind Squirrel' just seemed to be the nut I finally stumbled across.

Sounds like a fantastic week, I hope tomorrow is the cherry on top of the Sunday.

I noticed the name change, but figured if you wanted us to know why, you'd post about it! So I just changed the name in my bookmarks and on my blogroll. :)

Good on ya! It's obvious you are doing a good job with the kids, or they wouldn't be talking to you! And yes, I've been watching the name changes too :-) Agree with Chris- Figured you'd tell us if you wanted to! :-)
