A scary moment with a file.....
While cleaning my Colt today, I decided to finally go ahead and make a change I have been planning for far too long.
I got out some tools, and reshaped the rear sight for carry.
It's a Bo-Mar target sight, and wonderful at the job. That said, it's bloody painful in the carry roll, and has quite literally left bloody scratches on my side where it digs occasionally. The sharp edges are great for range time, but make the pistol almost useless for concealed carry.
Fear and trepidation overcome, at least temporarily, I broke the sharp edges down and smoothed it a bit. Next I'll buff with 600 grit and re-blue the sight blade.
The Colt is returning to carry duty.
