Too many tomatos?

So.... what does one do when faced with an abundance of tomatoes from the garden?

One makes sauce, as this one did. (I being the sauce making 'one' here, having nothing to do with the Obamesia 'promised one')

Sliced tomatoes, diced onion, diced peppers, salt and pepper.

Roast/simmer uncovered on the grill at about 300 degrees till it's well thickened and blended. Stir occasionally, and toss in some fresh slivered sweet basil towards the end.

Suitable for ladling on any pasta, cooking chicken in, or simmering with sausage.

I'll touch up the flavor with some toasted garlic and a sprinkle of sugar, along with oregano and parsley.

Perhaps pasta tonight....
