Reloading gear bleg

I have a close friend I would like to set up in reloading. .45 acp for now..... others later.

I'm looking for decent used equipment I can afford, as I want to make this a gift/investment in a new hand loader type person. I'll handle the teaching as well.

That means a press, a scale, .45acp dies, fired cases, bullets, and all the kewl gadgets that help us sleep well at night. I'm hunting this gear used to keep the price where I can afford it..... Anybody got anything spare laying around?

If you find two, let me know. I'm looking for .45 ACP and .308Win (7.62Nato)

Let me look around and see.

Have you chosen a brand yet? Lee dies won't work in a Lyman press, for example.

James, are you sure about that? I know Lyman dies will work in a Lee press; except for some odd ones like the old Lyman tong tool dies, I think almost everything uses the same 7/8x14 thread.

I use Lyman .357 in my Lee Turret. Older presses like Herters had different thread, and some Dillons might be different.
